Rasskazovo is a town located in the Tambov Oblast region of Russia. It is situated on the Lesnoy Tambov River at the point where it meets the Arzhenka River, approximately 40 kilometers east of the city of Tambov.
According to census data, the population of the town has fluctuated over recent decades. The 2010 census recorded a population of 45,484, following figures of 46,516 in 2002 and 49,058 during the 1989 Soviet census.
