Kirsanov is a town located in the Tambov Oblast region of Russia. It is situated on the Vorona River at the point where it meets the Pursovka River, approximately 95 kilometers east of the city of Tambov.
According to census data, the population of Kirsanov has fluctuated over recent decades. The 2010 census recorded a population of 17,224, following figures of 18,506 in 2002 and 20,754 during the 1989 Soviet census.
