Verkhnyaya Salda is a town located in the Sverdlovsk Oblast of Russia. It is situated on the Salda River, approximately 195 kilometers (121 miles) north of the city of Yekaterinburg.
According to census data, the population of the town has fluctuated over recent decades. The 2010 census recorded a population of 46,221, following a count of 51,195 in 2002 and 55,246 during the 1989 Soviet census.
