Turinsk is a town and the administrative center of the Turinsky District in the Sverdlovsk Oblast region of Russia. It is situated on the right bank of the Tura River, positioned midway between Verkhoturye and Tyumen near its confluence with the Yarlynka river.
The town is located approximately 253 kilometers (157 miles) northeast of Yekaterinburg. According to census data, the population was recorded at 19,313 in 2002 and 17,925 in 2010.
