Novaya Lyalya is a town located in the Sverdlovsk Oblast of Russia. It serves as the administrative center of the Novolyalinsky District and is situated on the banks of the Lyalya River.
The town is positioned approximately 306 kilometers (190 miles) north of Yekaterinburg, which is the administrative center of the oblast. According to census data, the population was recorded at 12,734 in 2010, following a decline from 15,681 in the 1989 Soviet census.
