Nizhnyaya Tura is a town located in the Sverdlovsk Oblast region of Russia. It is situated on the Tura River, approximately 254 kilometers (158 miles) north of the city of Yekaterinburg.
According to census data, the population of the town has fluctuated over recent decades. The 2010 census recorded a population of 22,006, following figures of 24,247 in 2002 and 26,268 during the 1989 Soviet census.
