Zhigulevsk is a town located in the Samara Oblast of Russia. It is situated on the right bank of the Volga River within the Samara Bend, positioned near the Zhiguli Mountains approximately 92 kilometers (57 miles) west of the city of Samara.
According to census data, the population of the town has shown growth over recent decades. The population was recorded at 44,801 during the 1989 Soviet census, increasing to 48,770 in 2002, and reaching 55,565 by the 2010 census.
