Zhatay is an urban locality situated in the Sakha Republic of Russia. It falls under the administrative jurisdiction of the city of republic significance of Yakutsk and is located on the left bank of the Lena River.
The settlement is positioned approximately 15 kilometers (9.3 mi) downstream from the city of Yakutsk. According to the 2010 Census, Zhatay had a population of 9,504 residents.
