Khandyga is an urban locality located in the Sakha Republic, Russia. It serves as the administrative center of the Tomponsky District and is situated approximately 380 kilometers (240 mi) northeast of Yakutsk, which is the capital of the republic.
According to the 2010 Census, the population of Khandyga was 6,638 residents. The town functions as a primary administrative hub for its surrounding district within the Russian federal subject.
