Kamensk-Shakhtinsky is a town located in the Rostov Oblast of Russia. It is situated on the Seversky Donets River, approximately 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) east of the border with Ukraine's Luhansk Oblast.
According to census data, the population of the town has grown from 72,379 in the 1989 Soviet census to 95,296 as of the 2010 census. The population was recorded at 75,632 during the 2002 census.
