Bataysk is a city located in the Rostov Oblast of Russia. It is situated approximately 15 kilometers (9.3 mi) southwest of the regional center, Rostov-on-Don.
According to census data, the population of Bataysk has shown growth over several decades. The 2021 census recorded a population of 126,988, following figures of 111,843 in 2010, 107,438 in 2002, and 91,930 during the 1989 Soviet census.
