Azov

Azov, formerly known as Azak, is a town located in the Rostov Oblast of Russia. It is situated on the banks of the Don River, positioned approximately 16 kilometers (9.9 mi) from the Sea of Azov, which takes its name from the town itself.

According to census data, the population of the town has remained relatively stable over recent decades. The 2021 census recorded a population of 81,924, following figures of 82,937 in 2010, 82,090 in 2002, and 80,297 in the 1989 Soviet census.
