Opochka is a town located in the Pskov Oblast of Russia. It serves as the administrative center of the Opochetsky District and is situated on the banks of the Velikaya River, approximately 130 kilometers south of Pskov, which is the oblast's administrative center.
According to census data, the population of Opochka has seen a steady decline over several decades. The town recorded a population of 16,190 in the 1989 Soviet census, decreasing to 13,964 in 2002, 11,603 in 2010, and reaching 9,928 by the 2021 census.
