Terney is an urban locality and the administrative center of the Terneysky District in Primorsky Krai, Russia. It is situated on the coast of the Sea of Japan within a small bay that shares its name.
The population of the locality was recorded at 3,590 according to the 2010 census, following previous figures of 3,971 in 2002 and 4,508 during the 1989 Soviet census. The area gained notable recognition as a featured location in the 1999 documentary film In The Shadow Of The Tiger.
