Dmitrovsk is a town located in Russia. It serves as the administrative center of the Dmitrovsky District within the Oryol Oblast. The town is situated on the Obshcheritsa River near its confluence with the Nerussa.
Geographically, Dmitrovsk is positioned approximately 100 kilometers (62 mi) southwest of Oryol, which is the administrative center of the oblast. According to census data, the population was recorded at 5,648 in 2010, following previous counts of 6,492 in 2002 and 6,974 during the 1989 Soviet census.
