Novotroitsk is a town located in the Orenburg Oblast of Russia. It is situated on the right bank of the Ural River, approximately 276 kilometers (171 miles) from the city of Orenburg, near the border with Kazakhstan.
The town is positioned very close to the city of Orsk, with a distance between the two locations of less than 2 kilometers (1.2 miles). According to the 2010 census, Novotroitsk has a population of 98,173 residents.
