Kuvandyk is a town located in the Orenburg Oblast of Russia. It is situated on the Sakmara River at the southern end of the Ural Mountains, positioned approximately 194 kilometers (121 mi) east of Orenburg, which serves as the administrative center of the oblast.
According to census data, the population of Kuvandyk has remained relatively stable over recent decades. The town recorded a population of 28,339 during the 1989 Soviet census, 28,679 in 2002, and 26,169 in 2010.
