Vetluga

Vetluga is a town located in Russia and serves as the administrative center of the Vetluzhsky District within the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. The settlement is situated on the right bank of the Vetluga River, which provides the town with its name.

According to census data, the population of Vetluga has shown a gradual decline over several decades. The 1989 Soviet census recorded a population of 10,190, which decreased to 9,641 by 2002 and further fell to 8,954 as of the 2010 census.
