Zelenograd is a city and administrative okrug located within the Moscow Oblast of Russia. It functions as an exclave situated approximately 37 kilometers northwest of central Moscow along the M10 highway. The city and its jurisdiction comprise the Zelenogradsky Administrative Okrug (ZelAO).
The area is notable for being the smallest administrative okrug in Moscow by land area, while ranking second-lowest by population. It is characterized as the largest Moscow exclave within the Moscow Oblast by both area and population. Historically, prior to the 2012 expansion of Moscow's territory, Zelenograd ranked second among all administrative okrugs for its share of greenery relative to its total area.
