Volokolamsk is a town located in the Moscow Oblast of Russia. It serves as the administrative center of the Volokolamsky District and is situated on the Gorodenka River near its confluence with the Lama River.
The town is positioned approximately 129 kilometers (80 mi) northwest of Moscow. According to the 2021 census, the population of Volokolamsk was 26,398.
