Staraya Kupavna is a town located in the Noginsky District of the Moscow Oblast region in Russia. It is situated on the left bank of the Shalovka River, approximately 23 kilometers east of Moscow.
According to census data, the town's population has fluctuated over recent decades. The 2021 census recorded a population of 22,898, following figures of 21,811 in 2010 and 21,433 in 2002. In the 1989 Soviet census, the population was reported as 25,052.
