Sofrino is an urban locality situated in the Pushkinsky District of the Moscow Oblast region in Russia. According to census data, its population was 15,771 in 2010, reflecting a steady increase from 11,866 during the 1989 Soviet census.

The town serves as an industrial production center for several notable enterprises. It is home to Europe's largest glycerin production facility and a Russian factory dedicated to manufacturing religious household items, including icons, temple decorations, and vestments for priests.
