Serpukhov is a city located in the Moscow Oblast of Russia. It is situated at the confluence of the Oka and Nara Rivers, positioned approximately 99 km south of Moscow and 72 km from the Moscow Ring Road along the Moscow—Simferopol highway.

The city serves as a transit point for regional transportation, with the Moscow—Tula railway passing through its territory. It is geographically defined by its proximity to major transport corridors connecting Moscow to southern regions of the country.
