Monino is an urban locality situated in the Shchyolkovsky District of the Moscow Oblast region in Russia. It is located approximately 23 kilometers (14 miles) east of the city of Moscow.
The population of Monino has shown steady growth over recent decades, recorded at 18,582 during the 1989 Soviet census, 20,017 in the 2002 census, and 22,821 according to the 2010 census.
