Kashira is a town located in the Moscow Oblast region of Russia. It serves as the administrative center of the Kashirsky District and is situated on the banks of the Oka River.
The town is positioned approximately 115 kilometers (71 miles) south of Moscow. According to census data, the population was recorded at 41,870 in 2010, following a previous count of 40,898 in 2002 and 44,110 during the 1989 Soviet census.
