Dubna

Dubna is a town located in the Moscow Oblast of Russia. It is situated approximately 45 miles east of Tver and 69 miles north of Moscow. The modern town was developed during the middle of the 20th century, and it was officially granted town status in 1956.

The city holds the status of naukograd and serves as a significant scientific and industrial hub. It is home to the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, which is an international nuclear physics research center and one of the largest scientific foundations in Russia. Additionally, Dubna hosts MKB Raduga, a defense aerospace company specializing in missile system design and production, as well as Russia's largest satellite communications center.
