Dmitrov is a town located in the Moscow Oblast of Russia. It serves as the administrative center of the Dmitrovsky District and is situated approximately 65 kilometers (40 mi) north of Moscow. The town is positioned along the Yakhroma River and the Moscow Canal.
According to census data, the population of Dmitrov has remained relatively stable over recent decades. In 2021, the population was recorded at 65,574, following figures of 61,305 in 2010 and 62,219 in 2002.
