Dedovsk is a town located in the Istrinsky District of Moscow Oblast, Russia. It is situated approximately 38 kilometers west of Moscow and 30 kilometers southeast of Istra, which serves as the administrative center of the district.
The town was previously known by the names Dedovo or Dedovsky. According to census data, the population was recorded at 29,108 in 2010, following a previous count of 27,662 in 2002 and 30,740 during the 1989 Soviet census.
