Susuman

Susuman is a town located in the Magadan Oblast of Russia. It serves as the administrative center of the Susumansky District and is situated on the Byoryolyokh River. The town is positioned approximately 650 kilometers (400 miles) northwest of Magadan, which is the administrative center of the oblast.

The population of Susuman has seen a significant decline over recent decades. According to census data, the population was 16,818 in 1989, decreasing to 7,833 in 2002, 5,855 in 2010, and reaching 4,439 as of the 2021 census.
