Omsukchan is an urban locality situated in the Magadan Oblast of Russia. It serves as the administrative center of the Omsukchansky District and is located approximately 576 kilometers (358 miles) north of the city of Magadan.
The population of the locality has fluctuated over recent decades, recorded at 9,873 during the 1989 Soviet census. According to the 2021 census, the current population is 3,493, following a decline from 4,529 in 2002 and 4,157 in 2010.
