Tosno is a town and the administrative center of the Tosnensky District in Russia's Leningrad Oblast. It is situated on the Tosna River, approximately 53 kilometers (33 miles) southeast of St. Petersburg.
According to census data, the population of the town was 39,101 in 2010, following a previous count of 38,683 in 2002 and 32,459 during the 1989 Soviet census.
