Svetogorsk

Svetogorsk is an industrial town situated in the Vyborgsky District of Leningrad Oblast, Russia. It is located on the Karelian Isthmus along the Vuoksi River. The town sits in close proximity to the Finnish border, positioned just one kilometre (0.62 mi) away from the boundary and five kilometres (3.1 mi) from the Finnish town of Imatra.

The town is located approximately 207 kilometers (129 mi) from St. Petersburg. According to census data, the population was recorded at 15,981 in 2010, following a figure of 15,698 in 2002 and 15,594 during the 1989 Soviet census.
