Volgorechensk is a town located in the Kostroma Oblast of Russia. It is situated on the right bank of the Volga River, approximately 40 kilometers south of Kostroma, which serves as the administrative center of the oblast.
According to census data, the population of Volgorechensk has fluctuated over recent decades. The 2021 census recorded a population of 14,355 residents, following figures of 17,104 in 2010 and 18,164 in 2002.
