Pyshchug is a rural locality located in the Kostroma Oblast of Russia. It serves as the administrative center of the Pyshchugsky District.
According to census data, the population of the settlement has remained relatively stable over recent decades. The 2010 census recorded a population of 3,137 residents, following figures of 3,311 in 2002 and 3,242 during the 1989 Soviet census.
