Sosnogorsk is a town located in the Komi Republic of Russia. It is situated along the banks of the Izhma River.
According to census data, the population of the town has fluctuated over recent decades. The 2010 census recorded a population of 27,757, following figures of 29,587 in 2002 and 30,439 during the 1989 Soviet census.
