Pechora is a town located in the Komi Republic of Russia. It is situated on the Pechora River, positioned west of and near the northern Ural Mountains.
The town covers an area of 28.9 square kilometres (11.2 mi2). According to census data, its population was 43,105 in 2010, following a decline from 48,700 in 2002 and 64,746 during the 1989 Soviet census.
