Pyt-Yakh is a town located in the Khanty–Mansi Autonomous Okrug of Russia. It is situated on the east bank of the Bolshoy Balyk River, positioned southeast of the city of Khanty-Mansiysk.
According to census data, the population of the town has fluctuated over time. The 2010 census recorded a population of 41,488, while the 2002 census reported 41,813 residents. In contrast, the 1989 Soviet census recorded a significantly lower population of 17,101.
