Tashtyp is a rural locality situated in the Republic of Khakassia, Russia. It serves as the administrative center for the Tashtypsky District.
According to census data, the population of the settlement has fluctuated over recent decades. The 1989 Soviet census recorded 7,536 residents, while subsequent counts showed a decline to 6,473 in 2002 and 6,423 in 2010.
