Tayga, also known as Taiga, is a town located in the Kemerovo Oblast region of Russia. It is situated approximately 118 kilometers (73 miles) northwest of the city of Kemerovo.
According to census data, the population of the town has remained relatively stable over recent decades. The 2010 census recorded a population of 25,331 residents, following figures of 24,726 in 2002 and 26,233 during the 1989 Soviet census.
