Kondopoga is a town located in the Republic of Karelia, Russia. It serves as the administrative center of the Kondopozhsky District and is situated by the northern tip of the Kondopoga Bay of Lake Onega.
The town is positioned near the mouth of the Suna River and the Kivach Nature Reserve, located approximately 54 kilometers (34 mi) from Petrozavodsk. According to the 2010 census, the population of Kondopoga was 32,987.
