Polessk is a town and the administrative center of the Polessky District in the Kaliningrad Oblast of Russia. It is situated approximately 49 kilometers northeast of Kaliningrad, which serves as the oblast's administrative center.
The town is located at the junction of a main road and a railroad at the Deyma River, positioned shortly before the river enters the Curonian Lagoon. According to census data, the population was 7,581 in 2010, following figures of 7,681 in 2002 and 4,744 in 1885.
