Zavolzhsk is a town and the administrative center of the Zavolzhsky District in Ivanovo Oblast, Russia. It is situated on the left bank of the Volga River, positioned directly opposite the town of Kineshma. The settlement is located approximately 113 kilometers (70 mi) northeast of Ivanovo, which serves as the administrative center of the oblast.
The town is recognized as one of the locations within the Golden Ring. According to census data, the population of Zavolzhsk was 8,896 in 2021, reflecting a decrease from 12,045 in 2010 and 13,455 in 2002.
