Vichuga is a town located in the Ivanovo Oblast of Russia. It is situated approximately 65 kilometers (40 miles) northeast of the city of Ivanovo.
According to census data, the population of Vichuga has seen a steady decline over several decades. The population was recorded at 53,000 in 1970, decreasing to 49,745 in 1989, 40,870 in 2002, and 37,583 in 2010. As of the 2021 census, the population stands at 30,694.
