Privolzhsk is a town located in Russia. It serves as the administrative center of the Privolzhsky District within the Ivanovo Oblast. The town is situated on the Shacha River, approximately 51 kilometers (32 miles) northeast of Ivanovo, which is the administrative center of the oblast.
According to census data, the population of Privolzhsk has shown a steady decline over several decades. The population was recorded at 20,680 during the 1989 Soviet census, decreasing to 18,385 in 2002, 16,747 in 2010, and reaching 14,332 as of the 2021 census.
