Kineshma is a town located in the Ivanovo Oblast of Russia. It is situated approximately 335 kilometers north-east of Moscow and stretches for 15 kilometers along the Volga River.
As the second-largest town in its region, Kineshma has experienced a declining population over recent decades. According to census data, the population was 105,037 in 1989, decreasing to 95,233 in 2002, 88,164 in 2010, and reaching 77,694 by 2021.
