Svirsk

Svirsk is a town located in the Irkutsk Oblast of Russia. It is situated on the left bank of the Angara River, approximately 150 kilometers (93 miles) northwest of the city of Irkutsk.

According to census data, the population of Svirsk has fluctuated over recent decades. The town had a population of 21,000 in 1974, which decreased to 19,214 by the 1989 Soviet census, and further declined to 15,500 in 2002 and 13,650 in 2010.
