Slyudyanka

Slyudyanka is a town located in Russia and serves as the administrative center of the Slyudyansky District within the Irkutsk Oblast. It is situated at the southern tip of Lake Baikal, approximately 126 kilometers (78 miles) south of Irkutsk, which is the administrative center of the oblast.

According to census data, the population of the town has remained relatively stable over recent decades. The 2010 census recorded a population of 18,574, following figures of 19,118 in 2002 and 19,872 during the 1989 Soviet census.
