Malgobek is a town located in the Republic of Ingushetia, Russia. It is situated approximately 45 kilometers (28 miles) northwest of Magas, which serves as the capital of the republic.
According to census data, the population of Malgobek has fluctuated over recent decades. The 2010 census recorded a population of 31,018, following a figure of 41,876 in 2002 and 20,364 during the 1989 Soviet census.
