Madzhalis is a rural locality located in the Republic of Dagestan, Russia. It serves as the administrative center of the Kaytagsky District.
Historically, the settlement functioned as the administrative capital of the Kaytago-Tabasaransky Okrug during the period of the Russian Empire. According to census data, the population of Madzhalis was 6,815 in 2010, following a steady increase from 5,766 in 2002 and 5,211 in the 1989 Soviet census.
