Khunzakh is a rural locality situated in the Republic of Dagestan, Russia. It serves as the administrative center of the Khunzakhsky District and is located within the North Caucasus mountains at an elevation of 1,600 meters (5,200 ft) above sea level.
The population of the locality has fluctuated over recent decades, recorded at 4,245 residents in the 2010 census. This follows previous counts of 3,694 in 2002 and 2,901 during the 1989 Soviet census.
